The Night with the Truth

"..I promise...” she said and so many more, and so many times. He remembered, not the every phrase but the every smile from it.

He believed it to be true. Now what is true, and what was, were big questions, while he is watching the stars and waiting for one to fall. So many wishes to make and certainly a life to be lived. ‘Life is a journey...’ the monk said, - ‘Happiness is inside, everything we see and search for can all be seen, if we start looking within...’

Preaching is easy, while practicing the same always goes the opposite. As his life was never to look inside, but to keep seeing the unseen, knowing the unknown and certainly the love to be loved, for ‘today-tomorrow and forever’. The dreams were many, and the night was slow. It’s still dark and the answers too. From where to be started, swiftly numerous question came. The place was empty, few sleeping near the light. None to watch, nobody to speak, a tea stall at a distance. The phases with the faith and hope, pierced deep inside. The choked throat for sure asking him again- ‘where am I going...?’ Let this be a journey where miles not to be walked, and sleep is nowhere near.

Perhaps she is travelling some distant hills, and he was still searching the cure for the pain it feels. Promises for sure, faith was more, fooled in a way that he still drawing the lines to connect the star.
It was a ‘love’ story, certainly yes, where time played the prime. But that monk once said, - ‘Rich is one who can give with a smile, and pray for a while…’ But whom to pray. The Lord is also asleep possibly.
The clock is still waiting for the first ray of light. The pause can be easily observed, everything came to a sudden halt. Suffocation was there for a long time now. And he is looking into the lines and the stones. Where to go, with so many promises been made, and the time to live...

Someone pulled the trousers, he looked back, and a small boy may be just three or four years of age asking for food. And certainly he had lost everything then. He is seeing the face of the lad and remembering the monk.  He is the poorest of all, with nothing to give, no patience even to bow the head once more and ask the Divine. His home is far, and journey unknown. He smiled at the boy, the pains are same, one is to eat and the other to breathe.

A light approached from the distant, a train came, a step unfamiliar, a ride never been dreamt. The promises were many, the emotions were perhaps delusion.  True is the pain. Lie were the roles. Still looking towards the brighter stars, searching the path forth.

The halt was over. The rays yet came.

From other side of the grass..

The rain was never the reason for the halt, some memories were...

Someone called by the name, looked again... The moving trees, the dark sky, not any silver line...

It started long back, with an excitement to begin, and so many hopes within, for some miles to be walked and smiles to bring in.  A joy can be seen on the eyes of both, certainly the wish to live and the happiness to share. It was more a fairy tale, with emotion been high and motion crossing all limits. They met. They shared a dream and few promises for sure. It started then…

The world is never the way we see, we preach for happiness when we become lonely, we are as if fighting in a race to find, how many likes and how many comments. Rightly said once, we try to forget everything, thus came the “selfie” to show the bliss, and hide the moans.

The story can be stretched as long to be wished, where it was supposed to be two, while entered many. Smiles were there, but for whom was the question. People let in and then was the clout to dreams and hopes and so many feelings. The fight was then with ego of each, while trying to smile and killing the emotions within. Life is not always the way we desire to be, the roads carry the bumpers, the rose carry the thorns. Never knew how it pains. But somehow for sure the rain came in. Soaked the salt, and relived from the chock of the throat. They parted and life was like the way it was. It started then…

Met again for the last time for sure, though they never knew, how long it will be, or whether it will end. A phase to promise again and so they did. As if they just met to start knowing yet again. New hopes came in, perhaps where they could live the way they wished, certainly in the world they build on their dreams. Differences started diminishing and the passion poured in. They were happy.

People came in, certainly like again, the faces were more, and the messages were lost in between.
Ego or what, perhaps time can say, but while one said, it needed both the hands for the 'clap'. The sound nearly same, it was the 'slap' instead, to the promises that were made and by one hand for sure. It started then…

The rain started...

In Crimson Red....

Here in the land of joy,
Seen the sun in crimson red!
At the fifth hour of the day;
The kids shouting and playing-
With all joys and gay!
The farmers with their cows,
Ploughing the fields with nothing to say!
The women at the evening time,
Talking within, may be about the day.

Yes I am here,
Where I ran my teenage days,
With emotion of no demotion!
Seen new paths being craved;
New dreams came in, with scope unbound,
Walked along the busy street-
And sat at the lonely ground!
Felt an evolution of the revolution
I listened to the chattering sound.

Suddenly I heard a cry, a son died!
The streets got a crowd, with new rhymes been praised.
I saw people running and hiding-
Near the distant shade!
The cheering faces are carrying a fear within.
The pastures changed after the spring.
Playing with blood and no words yet said-
Is this the change the land has prayed?

Yes I am here, still here-
Seeing the sun in crimson red…!!

An Odyssey on You

An Odyssey on you

Life is eternal, friendship is immortal and death is horizon.
My dear- “Our life is what our thoughts make it”
And he says that, “Nature never did betray, but the heart that loves her..!”
It’s true while so many leaves fall from the tree very few pick it up-
Many people make friendship very few keep it up..!

Life sometimes starts with the word- GO
But doesn’t retard when we say- SLOW…
The wind had once told me-
“Don’t love the pretty skies-
It does changes and speaks lies…!”

My brother says, “Adam and Eve started to Love,
Then Laila and Majnu introduced it,
Paro and Devdas suffered from it,
Romeo and Juliet died for it”
My dear, I really fear for it…!

I take the things the way it comes,
I listens philosophy, but I act in seldom.
I know not what fragrance you bear,
As I wait each day for your voice to hear!
Always cherish those moments, though you are not near…

I met with a friend that day,
She smiled and said- “you are still lonely these days!”
I smiled and thought-
It lies not in the power to love or to hate,
For will in us is overruled by our fate!

My dear I know not who you are and why we met
I want to share some stories before it’s late
The outcome is sometime hard to hear.
But I believe- Few ever fail by trying
Few even win by loving…

My uncle says- “Patience gives way,
If you really love someone with soul and heart-
Then you will get her definitely someday.
As sure as the sunlight on a sunny day
As pure as the presence of Lord on every right way…!”

Unknowingly Knowing You

Walking alone in a crowded space,
I closed my eyes and saw your face.
The day was not so good for me,
I searched every where but not find thee.
The clock’s running fast,
Faster are the people.
I have never seen you-
Unknowingly I am still searching you.
I remember the scrap that came as “Hi!”
“Hello” was the reply but I never bid “bye”
We became friends after several days
Winds blew us but again I found one day.
I know not much of you,
But my heart has so many stories to share with you.
Everyday you take me to the fairyland!
Where there were red bricks and no sand..!
You are someone whom I meet in every dream.
You peep from there, wherever I see,
You smile and gaze to the deed unknown.
You try to reap for me, whatever I sown!
You hide at some place, I never seen,
You say me something, which I can’t mean.
You look from the midst of the sky.
You whisper me to fly high!
Unknowingly I had known you,
Though very less but it was only you.
I love the moment when I am with you…
Everyday I am feeling and knowing you..!!

Are they still the same.....

Follow me on twitter...-- http://twitter.com/sourav05

‘There exists a law of nature, where we born to die one day.’ It says that we grow and we mature with our physical outlook and mental expertise. I believe that there lies another law, the law of distinction and discrimination, by which we classify each organism accordingly. If Human Being is taken, we classify them according to race, color, linguistic and so many. In broader perspective we classify according to masculine and feminine.

Women, as once defined by some intellectual scholars, are placed nearer to nature; while man are placed nearer to culture. They both are equally important. Still then they both are treated in a different way.

Down the ages we have seen, women in different roles. Their way of leading a life differs from that of a man. Every time and every moment they prove the test of their patience, faith and hope. Remarkably, when President Barack Obama expressed the change that he wanted to bring in, was by citing an example of a women, 106 years old, Ann Nixon Cooper, where he clearly defined the hope and faith through which she lead her life, a life, when every thing gets fade and then also it gives her the courage to move forward.

Indian society and its culture have shown us the male hegemony and their domination through the ages, a society where male has been given the power to rule by the theory of inheritance. From the birth of a child to the day when one leaves this beautiful earth, the women’s pride and prejudice are stigmatized. Families still favor the birth of a boy then a girl, creating a fear among the ecological balance of this planet.

While we pray and worship Goddess, with the faith that Devi Durga is the imagery of power and courage, while Goddess Lakshmi as the sign of wealth and Lord Swarswati as the strength to bring the curiosity and skill to learn and know the unknown knowledge. While relating those with our day to day life, I usually get aghast to see the daily; where women’s power , strength and everything is paralyzed by torturing them physically and mentally, burning them alive, beating them in crowded street, defining them as ‘bitches’. Adding much more astonishment is when minors are get raped, even child of age eight doesn’t get spare from such inhumane activity.

Standing in the 21st century, a life of a woman is very difficult to portray as there is vast array of differences between women’s dignity in urban life, the semi-urban life and rural life. Women at the metropolitan life have defined their own life style. In semi-urban life, one can easily visualize the nature of women, who is struggling every moment for her success. They are fighting every day with the so called ‘men-dominated society’. They are utilizing the opportunities to the fullest, craving their future, building their dreams. A woman here explores the theory ‘Struggle for existence’ to keep their feet in the crowd. In Rural India, women have a different role to play, where every time women are compelled to lead their life in pre-defined way, sometimes by their parents, their husband, in- laws and sometimes by their children. Women are led to live a life for others and not for themselves.

Women from whatever province may be taken, has always proven their importance in building up the Indian Culture. Starting from Rajia Sultana to Indira Nooyi, their presence has influenced not only women but also man. In every field and at every arena, the existence and importance of women has always been felt from Kalpana Chawla to Phulan Devi. The Indian government has passed many laws and rules for protecting and preserving the rights of women, like the Equal Remuneration act where pay equal for both men and women for similar work. The Govt. has also prohibited women employment at night except in certain areas. It is also the fact that there has been a bitter clash of words when Parliament starts discussing for Women Reservation Bill. Thanks to the 73rd and 74th amendment which provides 33% of reserved seats for women in local governing bodies, which has also been proposed to extend to 50%.
The role of women has been changing radically with the passage of every day. The literacy rate of women which was 8% during Independence is now 28% in Rural Sector and 63% in Urban Sector. In the corporate sector, study reveals that women has got immense role to play in the coming days. In the field of sports they also hold the national flag in the world sporting events. But they are been less focused in electronic media. Their lies the interrogation, “Are we mentally prepared to provide Equal Opportunity for women too..?” Diplomat replies that every queries need not to be answered. Certain Member of Parliament warns to commit homicide if Women Reservation Bill comes to existence in actual scenario. The so- called ‘male-dominated’ society are in fear, if women are allowed to come to the forefront then their role may get diminish.

The two oldest tradition of Indian culture are the corruption and the prostitution. Those were there in pages of Ramayana and Mahabharata and also in dynasties upon dynasties that ruled India. Study reveals that it has increased down the years. In a more hypothetic way I believe women manage things better than a man, and if they will be given their proper rights, then corruption can decrease which can result in decrease of prostitution with a larger equation.

But India is changing and changing a lot. During the walk, which started from 1947, at the stroke of midnight of mid August by saying, “…when the whole world sleeps, India rise to life and freedom…” In these 63 years, we are proud to say that we are still successful in protecting the Indian Culture, where man and women has equal roles and responsibilities. The country whose first citizen is President Madam Prativa Singh Patel, the country whose speaker of the elected member’s house is also a woman, Madam Meera Kumari, even the chair person, who is the main head of the United Progressive Alliance, Mrs. Soniya Gandhi, is also a woman. The more important is that they are heading the country at a same time.

Menace from Maoist

Every people have their own rights. Rights are something which makes them count in the crowd. People use different means to make them heard. While I blog to express my views, some works in the office and some does kind of services to know the quality he bears. Many of a time I think how to distinguish someone. I feel every one has their own identity and it’s their work which defines them. But will you support every means of expressing thoughts... Let me take you to a bit deeper.
They say themselves as the hard core believer of Mao-Tse-Tung’s ideologies. They say that, they are taking out a new revolution, and making the voice of poor’s to be heard. Yes, to an extent, I believe their ideas, but does it mean that one needs to take the life of others for the fault of another person.
This is what we are experiencing in our day to day life. We say we are secured; it can be taken just like that blind watch man of the movie 3 IDIOTS, who use to shout – ALL IZZ WELL… The nation is doing just the same, the difference is that we have eyes; we have ears also, but our ministers at the same time look at the Vote Bank for getting elected. People are getting killed; Personnel from the defense are not spared even. Even our journeys are now also in suspicion. And we are not sure that whether we will reach our home in safe or not.
Govt. of the country remains Numb; they say, ‘we are going take steps on them....’, but when..! The country has been questioned on the security reasons for many times in the past decade. They got threatened from all sides of the border, be it Pakistan, China and even Bangladesh. We point our fingers every time to the neighbors but are we safe at HOME. The biggest MENACE is evolving, it may hear you rude but I believe it’s true. The Maoist says they will destroy the democratic system within 2050. The nations laugh at such comment. But why the country remains silent when more than 150 people get died on a single train accident (rather a train attack).
I am very small to read between lines of the sentence.  But I feel, killing people, taking weapons on the hand, doesn’t justify a movement. The law of the land is acting on papers only. As people are been killed everyday or the other on the hand of those. It can be said that they are deprived from many rights and privileges, which an Indian should beer. And their movement is to get back those rights. But the question which comes to me, WHOM TO BLAME!—THE GOVT. OR THE IDEOLOGY THAT LEADS THEM. As they may be right to start a movement, for they are been left out from the basic privileges, and the Govt. still just letting normal people to die on their grudge...
Indian Democracy… Govt. is of the people, by the people and for the people. Is it so... or the Govt. is for a particular segment of the people.

From my office Desk...

Getting time in this summer is very easy, but when you are been chased by someone during this time, and then starts the battle of nerves...
Thought to have a great summer out here, wished to take few steps further of NYNTE, but alas, it is rightly said by someone. “Things happen as they are destined to happen”. I am a manipulator of my own work; sometimes I sit idle and pass all my day just sitting near my table, with a wish to write something on my diary and lastly came up with nothing written, and someday, I let my lunch to go for completing the last rhyme of my lines.

Sometimes I ask myself, “Why is it so..?” Sorry to say, I don’t find the answers of such. Still there is a light of ambition to move further. The dream to see myself somewhere is still glowing. Don’t know, how much more sacrifices does it require to achieve that. But one thing for sure, there will be one day. I believe that preparation can take u to an extent after that there is always a HOPE.

Sometimes, I ask myself what is the motivation required for success, I feel that there is no such quantitative measurement for that. It depends from people to people. While I believe that one can be HIMSELF the biggest motivator for the path ahead, as none stays when you are at the darkest point of your day or standing at the lowest point of plane.
Then I asked, is there anything called LOVE..? Really I thought and thought a bit. Later felt that one loves the other for his own reason only... CONFUSED..? Let me elaborate... I am writing now because I Love to do this, and while I talk with a girl, it’s simple because I love her to talk with me, or else I love her to listen me. Simple. Not so..?

Now last day I was talking with mum ma, and asked her, " How are you..?" She replied, I am happy, as you are happy there.. Yes this is how i define love, as i believe, It's just wastage of time to spend all my hours on single person... (Please don't think otherwise..) I mean LIVE FOR THOUSAND INSTEAD OF ONE. I mean, while you say others for being MEAN, u also must have a broad heart to love many at the same time. That's how I look at things..

I don't want to bore you more... and its also true that now i have to leave the desk. Actually my mentor is calling now..!!!
will come up later.. tata... and thank you for reading the article.

INDIA , and we are Indians. Yes we are !!

From my early days, I used to gaze at things, sometimes get amazed, and sometimes laugh within. Things occur as they are supposed to happen. I remained in my dreams, a dream to see things in a better way. Life sometimes tries to teach us something but we remain busy in our unnecessary schedule.

Being brought up in a land where people love to raise voice against single atrocities, I was also not the different from them. I sometimes get astonished on how people lie not only to others but to themselves too. I saw small boys crying at the street for single bread, I saw small kids without any cloth. We say we are proud to be an Indian. Yes, we are! But what the wrong those cute faces and big soul has done while taking birth in this land of diversity. We sometimes says, perhaps we could have born in a big family. Those kids pray, ‘perhaps I could get some rice to eat today and bit water to drink.’

Amartya Sen, once rightly pointed out that we love to talk more than believe in doing things. Yes we are!
But we live in a democracy where every one is supposed to enjoy the same right and responsibility. But I feel we are in place where there is a Mockery of Democracy! Puzzled..? Let me say India is a place of 114 crore (approx.), where unofficially there is more than that, as people in street and BASTI don't have their Ration Card, forget about Voter ID cards. Nearly 65 % vote in real case scenario. Out of the 65% no party comes to single majority, even parties forming alliance at the center have major differences in ideologies at the state level. Taking the cases under consideration, parties coming with 200 seats are seen as great victory, where in reality they are perhaps getting the votes of nearly 30%, which is making that they are voted by less than 20 % of Voters of the country. The govt. of the people, by the people and for the people....  India is democratic country. Yes we are!

We think for development, big buildings, more malls, and more parks. Perhaps we could have taken out some time and think why the portions of people are still deprived from education, food, shelter. We are proud of our rich heritage, Yes we are!
I believe I am in a country where I have the right to speak in common forum, the right to express my thoughts. This is the one thing which I like the most in democracy. Others are just modified democracy, and an ideology that started with socialistic view and then in a mixed economic concept and presently it is more of a capitalistic economy….!  The big fault of us is that, WE LOVE TO EAT THE FRUITS ON THE TREE AND ALSO THAT HAS FALLEN IN THE GROUNDS… We love to imitate the best of all and thus sometimes loose our own identity that we are more of an INTELLECTUAL ECONOMY... YES WE ARE..!!!!!
