Parting

A sudden cry….
I saw smile on every bodies face,
I saw tears of happiness on my grand pop’s eyes,
I took my birth…
I was so surprised that I remained silent for months!

A sudden cry….
My mom rushed towards me,
I fell from the stairs just when I started to move on my knee,
That day I felt I was parted from my mom’s lap…
I started to crawl!

A sudden cry…..
“I will not go to school!”
I cried and cried but none condole me,
“Why I will remain bind in the four walls…?”
I was parted from my homely life to school life!

A sudden cry….. By all
My grand pop was taking his last breath,
He died; I was very small,
All were then crying; I was silent….
He parted from us!

A sudden cry…..By my friends
My farewell day from school,
I came here crying, today too; but no tears today.
I burst out “Madam I don’t want to go….”
I was parted from my school days!

A sudden cry….. After many years
That time I glanced on my mirror,
I was then going into a new life.
I was crying for my bachelor days-“full of freedom…”
They had left me; I was again parted!

A sudden cry…..
I was rushing towards my office, a car stroked me.
A crowd crowded me.
I was admitted in hospital…
I was left out without my legs, I became lame!

A sudden cry….. Now for the last time
A pain, which often beats my heart,
I am old; my children’s faces were all sad.
I taught them not to cry ever…
God told –“Enough of you on the earth, now come here forever!”

A sudden cry….. A last drop fall from my eyes
My lips expanded as if to smile,
As if to say my child –“Don’t cry”
My eyes remained fixed...
I died……..

This is what life is!!!
Someone once told me-“Enjoy the life today,
As yesterday had gone and tomorrow may never come!”
So let me wake now and I have the world to see…
As the dawn will not come twice to awaken me!
